The Wish feature in Audials helps you keep track of artists and songs you would like Audials to find for you. You can create one or more Wish Lists, add artists or songs to them, and activate a list so that Audials can work through your wishes.
Creating a Wish List
Open Find Music > Wish and select Wish at the top.
To create a new list:
- Click New... under Wish lists.
- Enter a name for your Wish List.
- Add the artists or songs you are interested in.
- Select the desired list to view and manage its wishes.
You can create multiple Wish Lists, for example, for different music genres, artists, or personal projects.
Adding wishes
You can add new wishes using Add wish at the top of the window. Depending on what you want to find, you can add an artist or a specific song.
Your wishes are displayed in the main area of the Wish view. For artists, Audials can show information such as the number of songs, available versions, and newly found content.
Managing your wishes
Select a Wish List to see the wishes it contains. The available controls allow you to manage and organize the list.
You can also use the Generate... option to create a Wish List based on automatically generated suggestions.
Activating a Wish List
A Wish List must be activated before Audials can process its wishes.
Select the desired list and click Activate list... at the bottom of the window. The activated list can then be used by Audials to search for and fulfill your selected wishes.
The Wish view also shows the status of your wishes, including information such as Songs, Versions, and New content.
Example
If you want to keep track of a particular artist, you can add the artist to your Wish List. Audials can then monitor the wish and show you when corresponding music becomes available.
Tip: You can create separate Wish Lists for different purposes, making it easier to organize the artists and songs you are interested in.
