If Audials doesn’t display certain content correctly like:
- Clicking on „Update“ produces empty window
- At Audials startup, empty dialog box appears
- „News“ in Music area shows no content
- „Television“ doesn’t work, no channel plays
the reason of the problem is most probably because the „Webview2“ component was not installed properly on your Windows.
Audials uses this Standard Windows component called „Webview2“ to display certain contents, like the ones just mentioned.
Installation of Webview2 should have happened through your Windows update or Audials installation, but possibly that has failed.
Solution 1: Webview2 is a Microsoft component needed mostly for video recordings, but also for music recordings. If you would restart your Windows, will Audials work properly? if not, try to install Webview2 manually from the Audials installation folder
Solution 2: on how to try to properly install the „Webview2 component“ on your Windows:
Microsoft provides a free installer of Webview2 at
https://developer.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoft-edge/webview2/
There, choosing „Evergreen Bootstrapper“ is the easiest option.
Alternatively, this „Webview2 Evergreen Bootstrapper“ should also be shipped with your Audials installation. While Audials is closed, try to run manually the file „MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe“ located in „C:\Program Files\Audials\Audials 2026“ (if your version is Audials 2024, then you have to search in C:\Program Files\Audials\Audials 2024 OR if your version is Audials 2025, then you have to search in C:\Program Files\Audials\Audials 2025):
