Open the Options Click Storages & output. Click Configure filenames, folders, ... .Choose base folders for audio and video recordings. Starting from now, Audials saves all recordings into these base folders, according to their file type. To change the output subfolder structure and file naming for new recordings, click Configure subfolders and filenames, and then choose a naming rule for subfolders and filenames. On the buttom of the dialog window, select Automatically update subfolders and filenames... ...when editing tags. Examples for naming rules of subfolders and filenames: Rule Filename Folder structure in the base folder Default for music: \artist\artist/track.ext artist - track Audials saves new tracks in folders named by artist. Default for videos: \artist - track.ext artist - track Audials saves new tracks directly in the chosen base folder. \genre \artist \album \nr track. ext nr track Audials saves new tracks in a folder named by the album. This folder is contained by a folder named by artist, which you find in a folder named by genre. \artist \year \artist - track.ext artist - track Audials saves new tracks in folders for each artist and there in a subfolder named by the year. I need to be able to save everything into a single folder (Audials 2019 ignores the One common subfolder.. option) and have filenames set a I want them. choosing the one common subfolder and naming convention artist - album - nr - track.ext doesn't work and there is no indication of how the naming convention should correctly be. 0 Comment actions Permalink sknab June 28, 2020 14:48 I would like the option to create the file folder name using the disc number of a track for albums that contain multiple CDs. There isn't an attribute for this, although it is in the Spotify source. As it works at present if I save a streamed album that was on two CDs I end up with a folder containing two track 01s, two track 02s etc and then my audio player plays the tracks in the wrong order. 1 Comment actions Permalink TBingeman August 13, 2020 20:48 I agree with sknab that an attribute for disc number needs to be added for multi-disc recordings. I have ran into this many times and end up needing to rename files to show they are in order without disc numbers. 0 Comment actions Permalink Please sign in to leave a comment.
