Will I have legal problems with Spotify?
Spotify suspended my account temporarily, because, sometimes I download their musics with Tuneskit software (drag & drop).
Does Audials avoid this problem?
-
No downloads are carried out. It is only recorded through the sound card.My account has also been blocked. You can only record in real time at the moment. I doubt whether that will change again in the future.

Yes that's what I think. Of course I can't guarantee you that, but everything indicates that Spotify evaluates listening to music. This situation is only new now.
Ja ,das denke ich. Natürlich kann ich dir darauf keine Garantie geben, aber alles deutet darauf hin ,das Spotify das Musik hören auswertet. Diese Situation ist jetzt erst neu.

It makes sense...
I have a doubt, about the way Audials records the songs and shows the name of the music, the artist, etc...
Some other softwares records the songs and try to discover their names, the names of the artists, etc for their sources,,,.
Audials shows all the names, exactly like Spotify. So I think Audials downloads those information from Spotify, and than Spotify could detect Audials processes... Does it make sense for you?

Hello,
We are sorry that you may have had problems with your Spotify account while using Audials.
Here are some background information on the problem you described "my Spotify account has been blocked".
(*) What does Audials do? (*)
How does Audials work with Spotify?
- Audials does NOT change the Spotify software.
- Audials does not access the music files from Spotify and does not download them. Audials only accesses the audio output from Spotify and records it.
- Method "Drag music from Spotify to Audials": Audials controls the Spotify software to play the desired music (and sets the playback to mute)
- Methods “Drag music from Spotify to Audials” and “Play music in Spotify”: Audials changes the “passage of time” in Windows so that everything - especially music streaming - is accelerated
Offering software with such functionality is legal.
(*) What does Spotify do? (*)
- Spotify describes in its user guidelines that you should not record Spotify.
- Spotify reserves the right to block accounts at any time
- Apparently, spotify actually blocked accounts for individual users recently, presumably by discovering that the use was "very likely related to recording or downloading"
(*) How does Spotify notice the recording? (*)
Basically, the use of the spotify server for playing or the use for simultaneous recording looks initially identical.
- However, the "remote control" in the "Drag music from Spotify to Audials" method creates a playback pattern that is unlikely to occur with normal use.
- The higher speed could also appear "suspicious".
This is how spotify can tell that one “presumably recorded”.
(*) What now? (*)
At the moment we advise against using the Audials high speed recording method but the recording in normal speed, as this could have been the cause of the problem.
Thank you for your understanding! -
