Recording - "Other Source"
This is my 3rd attempt to secure help from Audials but I only have heard silence, How disappointing!!
After installing a recent Audials (premier) 2028 update, when I record from "other sources" I get one large file. The software does not separate songs into tracks. Even when there is no sound coming through the soundcard, Audials indicates that it is detecting "Low Sound" but when I stop the recording, Audials does not establish a file for what was captured. I have tried (multiple times) deleting and reinstalling the drivers, the Audials program, and changing various settings within Window 11 but nothing has worked.
I have used Audials for more than a decade and have never had a problem and, as noted above, Audials 2026 worked perfectly until the recent update. I have spent an extended period of time trying to fix the problem and have become increasingly frustrated and upset with this product..

I’m not certain, but most likely the update changed how Audials detects silence and splits tracks, so it’s treating the whole session as one file. Try Settings → Recording → Sources and adjust the silence detection threshold or track separation options; if that fails, reverting to the previous stable build is the most reliable fix.
