    Hi
Try a quick test using the screen recording feature from Audials for YouTube. Does it work? Could the problem be with a specific source?

Based on your description, the behavior you’re seeing suggests the problem is isolated to the Audials recording feature rather than your overall system setup. Since your keyboard-based screen recorder is able to capture sound correctly, it confirms that your audio drivers and system output are functioning as expected.

A few things you could double-check:

    • Make sure Audials still has permission to record system audio

    • Re-select the correct audio source inside Audials

    • Disable “exclusive mode” in your playback device settings

    • Try running Audials as administrator

Until the engineers roll out a fix, using the keyboard screen recorder seems like the most reliable workaround.

Separately, when troubleshooting issues like this, I usually look at how different apps interact with system audio and background services. Sometimes a simple click through broader system or software discussions can highlight patterns that aren’t obvious at first, especially when multiple tools handle audio differently.

Thanks for the responses, after a long wait where I haven't bothered to try to use Audials1, I tried it today and it screen records as before, so whether it was the Audials engineers, or Windows updates, I am finally after months of not using it able to use Audials again.
