Speech to text in AI Improvers
I've just started using Audials 2026 Premium and notice from the Options screen there are some Speech to Text downloads. Each of these Whisper.net options is described as General, Movies. I have been trying very hard to find out how to use them but have not found anything in the online help. Because they are labelled as General, Movies does this mean I can create subtitles from the audio soundtrack of a movie? If so, how do I achieve this? Thanks.

ANSWER: According to Audials tech support they are currently not used for anything! Apparently, they are in place for some possible future update. I said it was confusing to have options in place with no explanation as to their purpose, so I'm hoping we see some useful update that uses these optional downloads.

Hi clairhar557ris thanks for your reply! I have just downloaded one of the Whisper.net files in case this is required, then selected a video and clicked on the pencil icon. However, when selecting the "Subtitles" menu tab the only subtitles option I see is to Add subtitles by importing from a file. I can see three panes, the left pane is "Add subtitles" from a file, the middle pane shows a waveform pattern but nothing happens if I click on it, and the right pane shows my video. I have audials one 2026 premium. Did you need to do something else to activate the transcribe dialogue option? Thanks.
