File Format Conversion AVI (DIVX) corrupted

In the current Audials one 2023, when I convert a previously recorded video in .wmv format into an AVI file (DIVX) with a predifined profile (SD or 720p), the generated file cannot be played back in a player. In the VLC player the message appears that the AVI index is faulty or completely missing. If you then recreate the index in the VLC Player, you can play the file on the VLC Player without any problems. Is there a solution for this?

  I too am having this problem.  This issue started after the last update. Was not a problem when I first installed AO 23.  This seems to be a recurrent issue as there are complaints about this that go back 5 years.  I would expect this to be sorted out after 5 years of having it pop up over and over again.  Please get this issue fixed soon or I may have to reconsider my 10 plus years of loyalty to your product.
