Second recording suffers high load

When I record several episodes of a series in a row the beginning of the second and subsequent episodes suffer disruption due to the high load caused by Audials assembling/muxing the previous recording.

How can I avoid this?

  Hi unclemort,

  could you maybe provide more details like from which website have you tried to record, used recording method, used browser version? even if you have your Audials version up to date and all the other apps on your system are closed, would you get the same behaviour?

  Recording from Amazon Prime, Firefox (although the browser make no difference). Audials up to date (2022 version), nothing else in use on system.

  First episode works fine, second episode begins recording while first is being saved by Audials, this makes system very busy and screws up recording for a few minutes. I have to stop recording, wait for Audials to finish, then start second episode. Meaning that I can't leave it unattended. Maybe it is re-encoding the video, which I don't need I can do that myself later. How should I set it to not re-encode? Filesize is not an issue.

  Just checked. Conversion mode is set to "Keep original format"

  Video format (If original files not available): WMV7

  However, despite this, everything I record is in wmv format, so I guess re-encoding is happening.
