I have a Lenovo laptop also using Realtek Audio and have found exactly the same thing in my settings. The Audials sound recording device only shows a 16bit 44100 HZ. Can someone please explain this as I thought Audials offered high res recording.

It's a very important question. Actualy if the Audials sound recording driver is limited to 16/44, capturing in 24bits seems pretty difficult.

Thanks for a technical response by Audials !

Did Audials answer these questions??  Where are the responses??

The Audials Sound Capturing device overwrites my Asus STX II Essence sound card eeprom and therefore my computer does not recognize my sound card.  How to stop Audials from overwriting the eeprom??  If I can't solve this, I will have to quit Audials altogether.  The sound card is much better than the Audials "device."  With respect to sound, Audials is limited to 16/44 which is not good enough in my opinion.

So, what ended up being the answer after 2 years? I still see the device listed at 16-bits.
