Tips for getting 1080p streaming with Prime, Netflix, other streaming services?

Any tips on keeping Prime, Netflix, other streaming services to always play at 1080p?

Prime seems to play TV shows at 1080p on my Edge browser when I have a 1440p or 4k monitor, Movies are all stuck at 720p or worse.  Movies worked a few days ago at 1080p so I'm not sure what happened

I installed the HEVC extension from the Microsoft store and I have Hardware acceleration turned on.

What other tips do you know of to keep streaming at 1080p?

  It would be great if Audials came up with a guide for this.  Something to showcase all of the settings and requirements to get 1080p streaming to work on all major streaming platforms.  And highlight the best browser to use to achieve that.  For example Edge is the only browser that can play 1080p Netflix on Windows (as far as I am aware) and the HEVC extension has to be installed from the Microsoft Store.
