Auto tagging not working anymore in Audials 2020 Music

    Hi,

    have you enabled tagging option in Audials Options?

    Please also check your firewall settings so that they does not block Audials from searching tags.

    Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I've disabled my firewall and antvirus and ID3 tags are enabled in settings but tagging still isn't working. One thing I've not seen before is that when I stop recording a message pops up to say ' The unrestricted Lasso Fingerprinting service has been successfully activated'.  It may have nothing to do with tagging not working anymore but this pop-up is new to me.

    I'm having the same issue following a fresh installation. I also had the same message "unrestricted Lasso fingerprinting service" etc... but it only came up once and now I can't recreate it.

    Some tracks are tagging correctly, but most are not.

    My problems also began with a fresh installation. I'd actually purchased the new Audials 2021 and immediately had the tagging problem wth that so I cancelled it and removed the 2021 installation and reinstalled the 2020 version from the download page on Audials but that didn't work either. I've sent the log files to support but they can't resolve the issue. I'd always been happy before but disappointed now. Seems I'm not the only one having the issue so there's a bug somewhere.

    I've been an audials uset for a long time, possibly more than 10 years and I've seen issues like this come up before and they've always been resolved.

    I noticed Spotify has been updated and it seems to me that they are constantly trying to find ways to block/frustrate users of audials, but then audials developers find a new way round the block - like a kind of arms race. I could be wrong, but that's how it seems.

    It is frustrating, but they've always fixed this kind of thing before.
