Just done the latest update and now everything fails
Everything works fine until Audials gets to the conversion stage and then it immediately says "Failed". Tried rebooting etc, no improvement.

Hello Panchovia,
we are currently working on a solution for this issue.
In some cases, if a malware software is used, it helps if you deactivate it.

Audials downloads get to the conversion stage and then immediately indicate "Failed". Tried rebooting, reinstalling, changing options, changing storage locations, researching Audials support sites. No positive results. I am a longtime paid user of this product and would like to continue, but am researching alternatives in the event a solution is not forthcoming. (I accept the possibility of User Error, but I need help with a solution.) Respectfully Submitted. Thanks.

Sent an update. Installed. Tried two different stream providers (using chrome and firefox) and they both failed. The only stream that seems to work without issue is YouTube.

I agree. I'm disappointed and disgusted. Last night I tried uninstalling, clearing all traces from the Windows registry and reinstalling Audials 2020. It still does the same thing. Audials gets to conversion stage and marks the movie or audio I'm trying to record with "FAILED". Up until recently I've used the software successfully to record movies from Amazon, Netflix, and music from Amazon. Like others have mentioned here, I can record streams from YouTube without a problem.

Im not happy, I have an i9 9900k with two...TWO 2080ti's, 36gigs of ram and your stupid software told me ...you might have issues with conversion. Hell no your software might have issues but I assure you I can do it no problem, my pc can run Crysis...I want a refund. this is the worst software I have ever seen

I've used Audials for years and never this problem. I have installed and Desktop and Laptop. Every method of recording from Spotify and Amazon Unlimited fails. Everything seems fine until the end of recording, and then I get "Failed." I'm using Windows 10 Pro Version 1903 pm this particular computer (Desktop). Furious. If this is not resolved, I'm through with Audialls.

After updating to Audials 2020.2.11.0, built on 1/29/2020 Streaming Service 3.3.44.0 I receive the "Failed" message recording from Amazon Music, Spotify and Tidal
Here is a screenshot video which documents the problem still exists as of 2020-0131

I'm having same issue with 2019 - thought maybe they wanted me to upgrade to 2020, but I see it's got the same problem. Definitely isn't a malware problem - I don't download much or go to risky sites, and I have malwarebyes premium which indicates no malware. I put a support ticket in yesterday, but I don't see it under my account - not sure how I'm supposed to track it.

In Win 10, in the tray, click on the Malawarebytes icon (it will probably be under this icon ^ You'll see an option to "Quit Malawarebytes." Click on that. Do this before launching Audials.
Now launch Audials and proceed as normal. This fixed my problem. I wasn't able to record anything before that. Perhaps Audials can make a programming change to fix it, and if not, I would recommend they put an obvious message in the program instructing folks to turn of Malawarebytes. Of course, remember to turn Malawarebytes back on afterwards
It's unfortunate, because Malawarebytes is a fantastic program. It's one of the few paid programs I use. One thing that is odd is that I used Malawarebytes alongside Audials in the past with no issues. Perhaps it was an update to Malaware that caused issue.

Looks like it will be fixed in the next version of Malwarebytes:

Point of clarification. It is only necessary to stop the MWB ransomware protection (uncheck it by right-clicking the MBAM tray icon) just before stopping a stream. Uncheck it, affirm the change, wait a few seconds for the background activity to stop, then stop the stream recording. Restart the protection after the stream processing completes. Until MWB releases a fix this is the better (safer) way.
Alternatively, you can add the Audials folder (%localappdata%\Audials) to the allow list in MBAM.
-
If you are doing that then you will be better served by allowing the app folder in MBAM. In my case I had to add folder allow rules for C:\Program Files (x86)\Audials, C:\ProgramData\Audials, C:\Users\…\AppData\Local\Audials, C:\Users\…\AppData\Local\RapidSolution. At least this way you continue protection of your system, save for those folders. With the increasing level of malware attacks I am not willing to shut down a protection for an extended period of time.
