Casting - playing when lost connection
Hello everyone.
I use Audials for Android to cast radio stations to my MiBox.
When I turn off the MiBox or lose wifi connection (for example when I leave the house), the app loses connection with the mibox and the phone starts playing radio in my pocket which is a bit annoying.
I would like the app not to continue playing the radio through the phone's speaker when the connection to the casting receiver is lost.

When a connection is lost while casting, the playback mp3 will usually stop, as the casted device relies on an active connection to stream content. However, some devices and apps can continue playing if the content is preloaded or buffered.
-
To prevent Audials for Android from continuing to play radio through your phone's speaker when the connection to your MiBox is lost, you can try the following steps:
-
Check App Settings: Look for any settings within the Audials app that control playback behavior when the connection is lost. Some apps have options to stop playback when the casting device is disconnected.
-
Use a Task Automation App: You can use a task automation app like Tasker to create a profile that stops Audials when the Wi-Fi connection is lost or when you disconnect from your MiBox. Here’s a basic outline of how you can set this up in Tasker:
- Create a new profile triggered by a state change in Wi-Fi (when it disconnects).
- Add a task that stops the Audials app.
-
Update the App: Ensure that you are using the latest version of Audials. Developers frequently release updates that fix bugs and improve functionality. Check the Google Play Store for any available updates.
-
Contact Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Audials support. They may have a solution or be able to address this issue in a future update. You can visit their support page for more information.
By following these steps, you should be able to configure your setup so that the radio does not continue playing on your phone when the connection to the MiBox is lost. Njmcdirect
