Issues recording from Youtube Music
Not sure if I'm the only one but having loads of issues trying to record from Youtube Music...
1. Doing just a regular download method results in an inferior quality audio sample. This isn't exclusive to Audials though for the past several months Youtube has prevented all downloaders from accessing the HD audio on their site.
2. Trying to record via playing in browser is messed up beyond belief. I try to play in a browser, rather than recording in the browser when I load up the song it just launches a small webviewer to record the audio there instead. Which wouldn't be a problem but it records the ads!!!! There's no way to just queue it up and say "START RECORDING FROM THIS MOMENT". Even when trying to use the internal large browser, as soon as I navigate to a song it launches the mini web viewer to try to records starting with recording the ads and cutting the song off before the end!
3. In regards to browser... why do you still not have Brave browser as an option or just the option to use the OS default browser? Considering all the BS with the ads and how Brave blocks them by default it would make sense for that to be a standard option.
Just upgraded and ready to refund this mess...

Yalbi, no I just mean HD audio... see, you used to be able to actually get the full 320kbs audio files directly from youtube using youtube-dl whether you had premium or not. It was just the standard audio option that could be grabbed for any video on Youtube. Then a few months ago Youtube silently changed things where now they cap the quality that's offered publicly (to non-premium members?) to something much lower - maybe a shade above radio quality. I'm not quite sure what the exact quality level is but it's definitely not the full 320kbs and it's quite clear that there can be some distortion in various songs due to this lower quality. No Youtube Premium here so ads play.
