Todays software - like Audials - is required to be "signed". This signature assures that you are having the "official files" of Audials.
Since some time, only secure (SHA256) certificates are allowed by Windows. Therefore, also Audials now is required to be signed with current secure (SHA256) certificates.
Unfortunately, older versions of Windows 7 (SP1 and older - SP2 and SP3 should not be affected) cannot handle such secure certificates, unless a specific update is installed. And this can lead to Audials becoming un-startable, unfortunately.
HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM
There are several ways how to make your Windows 7 compatible with secure (SHA256) certificates:
1) Update to Windows 7 SP2 or SP3
This update is recommended anyway, as Windows 7 SP1 has various other security problems.
2) Install specifically the Microsoft update to allow secure (SHA256) certificates even on Windows 7 SP1

3) Update to Windows 10 or Windows 11
Windows 10 and Windows 11 are able to handle all secure certificates.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but we had to change the signature of our app to the secure (SHA256) signature, as older - and less secure - certificates are in general not supported any more.
