Step by step: recording a Netflix video using the Audials internal player

Audials Video Streaming offers a quickstart button and in-place instructions to guide you through the necessary steps to record a video using the internal player. That way you can play any video streaming pages in Audials, and above all record them in Audials (and easily "switch them to invisible"). This makes the whole thing much more stable, but also ensures excellent quality of the recordings.

NOTE: if the recording is not starting at all, but it remains with the status recording is starting" please make sure that your Windows is up to date, including video and gpu drivers, should not be out of date, the graphic card should not be older than 4 years.

How to start the recording of a Netflix video using the internal player:

1. Go to the "Video Streaming" menu item.
2. Click the "Netflix" hint button (or the Amazon Video or Disney+ hint button).
3. Select "Audials internal player" from the dialog and click on "Next".
4. Optional: In the next window that will open, you can activate subtitles, highspeed recording etc.
5. Select a video from the internal player.

You can preset that the video is recorded from the beginning. If the selected video is a series episode, it is also possible to record the entire season.

6. Select "Record now" and Audials begins to record the video using its own internal player using the options that were previously selected.
7. If “Cancel” is clicked, Audials returns to the Video Streaming tab.

Results

Audials exports the recording as soon as the video is finished. The video appears in the player on the right after it is exported.

Interacting with video while recording

When Audials is recording the video with the internal player, interacting is not recommended, but if it is really needed, it can be done. After the recording has started, the Netflix UI is not shown while moving the mouse. To show the UI, a click is required. A warning appears and you need to click proceed so that interacting with the UI is enabled.

Hide the video during the recording

If you don't want to see the video while recording it with the internal player, Audials has the option to hide it. After the recording has started, in the upper right corner there is a button “Hide video”. If you click it, the video is hidden while Audials still records. If you want the video to be back again, click “Show video” down right.

Record the video in full screen

If you want to record the video in full screen, click the 2 arrows in the top right corner after the recording has started with the internal player.

Recording Netflix in Full HD resolution

For recording a video in Full HD, the movie or the series has to be available in Full HD resolution and also the “1080p” option has to be enabled. The best is to use this option together with the GPU Encoding option in the expert options, if available.

Record surround sound

To record 6 channel surround sound using Audials internal recording, the option “Enable 5.1 sound” must be enabled. But please note that the correct steps to do this are: select first an output profile with surround sound, then enable the 5.1 sound setting in the recording options in order to get the properly sound, otherwise the sound will be cracking or overdriving.

Record video subtitles

To record the subtitles of a video, the option “Find or record subtitles” must be enabled, but only if it is needed.

Search movie tags

Audials 2022 has developed a subtitle search engine that will find what you are looking for on various subtitle portals for almost every film or series in a large number of languages.

The specialty is that a sophisticated audio analysis algorithm ensures that the subtitles also perfectly match the spoken word of the film.

You can insert as many subtitle tracks as you want, and then switch between them at any time during playback.

High Speed recording

This option allows to record Netflix using the Audials internal recording with speeds from 1.25 to 2.0x. It should be used only on strong PC`s and the GPU encoding option is also recommended to be enabled if available.

Note: If you experience skips or stuttering of the video exports, “High Speed recording” or “Enable 1080p” options can be disabled to get better results.
