Hello,
If you are experiencing issues with recording CBS game show videos on your Asus laptop running Windows 11, where the screen turns black and doesn't record, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Update Audials: Make sure you have the latest version of Audials installed on your computer. Check the official Audials website or the application itself for any available updates. Updating to the latest version can often fix bugs and improve compatibility.
Check system requirements: Verify that your laptop meets the minimum system requirements for Audials and CBS streaming. Ensure your laptop has sufficient processing power, memory, and a stable internet connection to handle video recording.
Disable hardware acceleration: In some cases, hardware acceleration TellHappyStar can interfere with screen recording. To disable hardware acceleration in Audials, go to the settings or preferences menu and look for an option related to hardware acceleration. Disable it and see if the issue persists.
Check display settings: Adjust your laptop's display settings to ensure they are compatible with Audials and the CBS streaming service. Try changing the screen resolution or refresh rate and see if it makes a difference.
Disable energy-saving settings: Some laptops have power-saving features that can interfere with screen recording. Temporarily disable any energy-saving settings or switch to a high-performance power plan while recording.
Use software rendering: If hardware acceleration is causing issues, try switching to software rendering in Audials. This option can usually be found in the settings or preferences menu. Software rendering may be less efficient but can help troubleshoot problems related to graphics hardware.

I've been having a ton of problems with media software lately in Windows 11 and 10. I found that if I right click the app, click properties, click compatibility mode to Windows 7, everything seems to work right again. Except my Buffalo NAS software, I went down to windows XP, they never update their software.
-
Occasionally I have the same problem. When I was recording the game show smash karts, the screen also went black. Then I had to turn off the power to turn it back on and start recording again.

See this link for hardware acceleration, it shows you how further down the screen with pictures. I know the address shows windows 7, but further down the screen it shows windows 10-11 can adjust the acceleration depending on your graphics card you're using.

It seems like you are experiencing issues while recording CBS game show videos on your Windows 11 Asus laptop using Audials version 2023. The screen turns black and stops recording at times. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:
-
Update Audials: Ensure that you have the latest version of Audials installed on your system. Check the Audials website or use the update feature within the application to make sure you are running the most recent version.
-
Check CBS Compatibility: Verify that Audials supports recording from CBS or the specific streaming service you are using. Sometimes, certain streaming services implement measures to prevent recording, which might cause issues with screen recording software.
-
Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated graphics drivers can cause recording problems. Visit the Asus support website and update your laptop's graphics drivers to the latest version compatible with Windows 11.
-
Disable Hardware Acceleration: In Audials, try disabling hardware acceleration if it's enabled. Hardware acceleration can sometimes conflict with screen recording, causing issues like black screens.
-
Adjust Video Settings: Experiment with different video settings in Audials, such as resolution and frame rate, to see if it makes any difference in the recording process.
-
Check for Background Applications: Make sure no other application is interfering with the recording process. Close unnecessary applications running in the background, especially ones that might overlay the screen or use hardware resources.
-
Run Audials as Administrator: Right-click on the Audials application icon and select "Run as Administrator" to give it elevated permissions. This can sometimes help with recording issues.
-
Antivirus and Firewall: Check if your antivirus or firewall software is blocking Audials from recording. Temporarily disable them and see if it resolves the problem.
-
Test on Different Websites: Try recording from different websites or streaming platforms to see if the issue is specific to CBS or more general.
-
Contact Audials Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, reach out to Audials support for further assistance.

I am also experiencing the same situation when recording Minesweeper videos. I'm not sure if VPN is the problem or not
